What's on your "To-Do" list today? What are you most looking forward to and what are you most dreading?
I don't have anything in particular on that list. There is the usual bit of house work and cooking. I would like to add a bit of paper crafting to the list, but right now the weather is not very predictable so I might end up not doing anything at all.
I am never looking forward to the house work aspect of my daily to-do list. Thankfully though, I have gotten to the point where things are kept mostly to a dull roar and nothing sits there like a mountain in the road laughing at me.
What's your favorite kind of homemade cookie? Share the recipe if you have it.
That's an easy one to answer.
Chocolate Chip Cookies.
The recipe we're using supposedly have been in the family since forever. When mixed up the dough is very heavy and very dense. I have been told that you gotta use the heavy machinery when mixing it up and then people usually end the story by telling how one grandma or another burned up a mixer that didn't have a good enough motor to handle the dough.
Audio: What's your favorite carol or holiday song?
"The first Noel".
Over a million iPhones have been sold. Have you: bought one, considered it, or decided it's not for you?
Heck no. No iPhone for me. Can't see how I could possible need one. We've got a landline and I never ever go out and about on my own.
What song do you wish would never show up on a karaoke list?
I don't do karaoke and think it is totally stupid. As far as I am concerned every song should be banned since I have yet to hear anyone doing anything good behind the mic.
What's the current hottest restaurant in your city? Have you tried it out yet?
I don't have a clue if there is a restaurant which is considered hotter than others. I go to places which serves food I like, not what everyone else think is hot or not.
But speaking about places to eat. For the longest time there was rumors flying that someone was going to try and bring a T.G.I. Fridays to one of the local malls as part of the attempt to revive said mall. This week we finally got word that the plans had been canned. The T.G.I. Fridays chain did not think it would be a good place to set up shop with the mall dying and the city council having put a freeze on development at and around the mall for another six months.
This makes me so sad. Not only because the area where the mall is at, is starting to not look so good (hasn't for a long time) but also because I was really looking forward to see a T.G.I. Fridays back in the area. It was one of the places hubby and I went to often.
You're the DJ: what are the next five songs coming up after the break?
End of the Line - The Traveling Wilburys
Windell - Nightnoise
Be Mine Tonight - Blackmore's Night
Hot Dog - Led Zeppelin
Heavy Horses - Jethro Tull
Locomotive Breath - Jethro Tull
Volcano - Jimmy Buffett
Authority Song - John Mellencamp
Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf
Tusk - Fleetwood Mac
Yes I know it is a bit more than 5 songs. I am in the mood for music today, so bite me :)
What shows are you looking forward to in the new fall TV season?
I usually do not follow series from season to season as they are aired. The few times I've been trying to follow something from the beginning, the show was canceled before it got a chance to get off the ground so instead I try to catch them on reruns and if I like them I'll start collect the DVD sets.
I always look forward to things crime related, though I never caught on to The Sopranos or The Shield. Have tried watching those on re run and they just don't appeal to me. On the other hand give me any of the flavours of CSI and I'll be happy.
What one year of your life would you like to re-live, if you were given the chance?
Submitted by Ross.
To be honest I cannot think of a year I would like to re-live. Perhaps it is because the ones I have been through have been horrible (They really haven't) though I would like to think that I have not yet had a year that I would write about given the chance to put a chapter into the history books.
Probably ribbon from the $1 bins at Michaels. Specially considering I've already got more ribbon than I probably know what to do with. But ribbon is like crack. I hear it call my name every time I enter a store where I'd expect to find such things. Specially stores where I know such things can be gotten cheap. In my defense though, I've got very few (if any) spools of ribbon I've paid full price for.
