This is me having fun with a sketch challenge and the DD "More is more, Less is less" challenge on Split coast Stampers. It has been a while since I've done a challenge. I usually don't participate because I like to work at my own pace, but these just spoke to me.
Everything but the belly band and flower was cut with my Klic-N-Kut. The stamp used is from StampinUp "Delight in Life".
Yesterday was one long battle of the will with a certain orange and fuzzy member of the household. I don't know what was going on in the little head of his, but it seems like being in the craft room was wrong but so was being out of the craft room. Or I sat in the wrong chair at the wrong time.
Then of course he had to go and play alarm clock only to completely disappear after I got out of bed this morning.
Ahh the joys of living with pampered house piggies :D
Am having a CIP (Card in progress) on the table, but after doing a non glue assembly it just isn't working the way I had imagined so I've left it on the table and keep going back and forth while looking at it and trying different ways to lay out the various elements. Maybe i should put it aside for a brief and play with something else.
First play with one of the new sets from StampinUp I got yesterday. This set can be used in so many ways and I'm really looking forward to explore it all.

This challenge from Beate (fab Splitcoast stamper) was so much fun. I did not really have any idea about what I wanted the end result to be like, so I just let is grow from the basic file folder and ended up turning it into a pocket folder thingamajig. The little note card stuck into the front ribbon is a piece I made months ago. It has been sitting and waiting for something to come along where it could be useful. The tab at the top is a super sized version of a private wishblade file I did of the SU tab punch.

Was doing a bit of goofing around to shake off the bad feelings about the previous card I posted. I love this simple style of card and wish I was a lot better at it.

This is my attempt at Sketch challenge 143. I really liked the sketch when I first saw it. As I worked with the card I started to like it less and less to the point where I don't like the finished product. It came out nothing like I had imagined. I wish I had not used that patterned paper, at least then I might have had a remote chance of saving the card.

This is my take at Featured Stamper 33 challenge at SCS. The challenge is to case one card from the featured stamper of the week and change 2 or more things on our card.
This weeks featured stamper is StarOfMay. She does some really beautiful work, but the card that called my name is her August Stamp Club card.

Today makes it almost 7 days in a row where I have taken time to sit down and play. I can feel how the creative confidence are slowly getting up to where I don't feel as critical and unsure about what I am doing as I have been in the past. Who knew that keeping at it would actually help.

I don't know how I ended up making a Christmas card in September. Maybe because I was already in a seasonal kinda mood from the Halloween Treat Box I made yesterday.
The stocking is a wishblade cutting file. I found it at PaperThreads somewhere in the forum.
